# The Story

![](/files/E41cYgdunDVbz9ED1lJj)

Asteroid Shiba began with a real journey into space.

A plush Shiba named **Asteroid** — inspired by the little dog that captured the internet — travelled aboard the **Polaris Dawn** mission as its zero-gravity indicator, floating in orbit as the crew reached farther than any private spaceflight before it. That moment turned a small mascot into a symbol, and a community formed around the **$ASTEROID** idea: a space explorer for everyone chasing the frontier.

**Asteroid Shiba: the game** is the next chapter of that spirit — a community-built space gold-rush where anyone can become an explorer, hunt the void, and strike it rich.

{% hint style="info" %}
Asteroid Shiba is a community project built around the $ASTEROID culture. It celebrates the explorer spirit that inspired it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://asteroid-shiba.gitbook.io/asteroid-shiba-docs/story.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
